Worcestershire Steels have proudly helped out with two recent projects undertaken by the BBC’s DIY SOS programme which helps transform the homes of families across Britain.

A call was put out to local trades and a Worcestershire Steel’s customer who was involved in the build recommended the Redditch based stockholder. Manager Trish Chambers was then contacted by the programme to see if they could assist with the supply of some steel beams and angles, and she had no hesitation in helping out.

After delivering the steel to site and the work was completed, Trish attended the ‘Big Reveal’ where the family return to the house to see for the first time the changes that have been made. The families were delighted with their new improved homes and thanked all of the trades involved.

Trish commented ‘It was such a lovely thing to be part of, was great fun to meet the DIY SOS team and meant a lot to be able to help the families. I met some great people and keep in touch with lots of the other local traders, so a real community feel all round!’

As the programmes haven’t been aired yet we can’t give any more details but suffice to say that it was a great experience and Worcestershire Steel have already been asked to help out on another project!
